ProLitteris distributes statutory royalties every year to rights holders for uses of printed works (Print), works on the Internet (Online), works on radio and television (Broadcast) and works in exhibitions (Expo). The Copyright Act, the distribution rules and the terms of management are decisive. Rights holders are responsible for correct and complete data. There are additional - contractual - royalties in the Art sector from licensees who reproduce artworks (Art sector).
If, as an artist, you transfer the reproduction rights to ProLitteris, we take care of the authorization and royalty payment for reproducing your works. The Art tariff is decisive. Mention that you are a member of ProLitteris and that the reproduction of your works is subject to a fee. Or use the individual exceptions that you can declare in advance in the ProLitteris portal for certain uses. The royalties flow twice a year, provided that Team Art has received royalties for you.
You can become a member if you are an author, a publishing house or an heir and hold rights in published texts or images. Another requirement is a connection to Switzerland or Liechtenstein, through domicile, registered office or nationality as well as through resources and activities in these countries.
ProLitteris ensures that you also receive royalties from abroad. It is unnecessary for you to belong at the same time to a foreign collecting society in the same sector.
The other services of ProLitteris under "MyCopyright" are available to rights holders, users and other persons and organizations.
