The foundation board accepts applications by email at culture@prolitteris.ch. There are two submission deadlines for applications per year:
- 1 February – the application is assessed in March. The project should be carried out no earlier than in the autumn of the current year.
- 1 October – the application is assessed in November. The project should be carried out in the following year.
The conditions for funding by ProLitteris are: 1. The application must come from an organization (institutions, associations; no individuals). 2. The application must concern a project that will be carried out in the future. 3. The application concerns text or image, that is literature, visual art or photography.
Excluded are contributions for individual artists, contributions for specific works and contributions for the operation of an organization.
For administrative reasons, we only process applications that are submitted as a single document in PDF format. The file may be up to 5 pages and a maximum of 10 MB in size. Additional attachments will not be considered.
The application must contain: a budget (including the payment for creative services of artists), a financing plan (including the planned share of ProLitteris), a reference to ProLitteris (text/image, authorship/copyright, framework conditions/exploitation).
