The award ceremony will take place following the general meeting. There, ProLitteris will present stable income and reduced costs in the 2022 financial year.
The recipient of the main prize, Limmat Verlag, was selected by an independent jury made up of figures from the publishing sector: Sabine Doerlemann, Caroline Coutau and Winfried Stephan.
Limmat Verlag has been a fixture of the Swiss publishing landscape for many decades. Its particular merits lie in the discovery and promotion of Swiss women authors and women authors. One focus of the publishing house is the translation of Swiss literature from other language regions and the publication of poetry. The publishing house repeatedly takes risks, for example with the volume Moderne Poesie der Schweiz, edited by Roger Perret. Founded in 1975 as a cooperative, Limmat Verlag is now successfully and with fresh momentum managed by Erwin Künzli and Lukas Haller. One coup this spring is the first translation of C.F. Ramuz’s climate novel “Sturz in die Sonne”.
As the recipient of the main prize, it was up to Limmat Verlag to determine the winner of the sponsorship prize. The choice fell on the publishing house and organizer for spoken word, Der gesunde Menschenversand, founded in 1998, among others by Matthias Burki.
The prizewinners will be present at the award ceremony following the general meeting of ProLitteris:
